 Nagarkot hill Luxury Tour is a combination of exploration of heritage sites of Kathmandu and lifetime experience of Himalayas view from Nagarkot Hill station. This is a very popular trip which provides you the real taste of Nepal at its best in terms of exploring the country’s culture and nature in a relatively short period of time. The tour initially starts with covering the major attractions of Kathmandu valley, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur before proceeding onto Nagarkot Hill.

This short but comprehensive tour package takes to you the UNSECO world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. During sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley, we will admire artistically carved ancient temples, royal palaces, Stupa and monasteries. We also visit museums inside Durbar Squares where we will observe ancient, sculptures, statues, scripts, paintings and portraits of historical figures of Nepal. This is also a good chance to see combination of traditional culture, religious ceremonies, feast and festival of indigenous Newar people.

If you wish to opt out for a slightly different arrangements than what is being proposed here in order to fit in your specific requirements, then please feel free to discuss your ideas with us and we will revise the proposal accordingly for you.

Itinerary

Day 01Kathmandu arrival (1400m) – transfer to the hotel

Warm greetings and a heartfelt welcome to the beautiful country of Nepal!

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu one of our team representatives will be at the airport to pick you up, and he will then take you to your hotel.

Day 02Sightseeing of Kathamandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Patan

Kathmandu is a city steeped in rich history, cultural heritage, and natural beauty. As you explore the city, you’ll be captivated by its ancient temples, bustling markets, and friendly people.

  1. Kathmandu Durbar Square: In this historic and cultural place in central Kathmandu, we can see the living goddess (Kumari). The Kumari is a virgin young girl who is worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists. She receives the power of the goddesses Kali and Taleju.

  2. Swayambhunath: This site is nicknamed the “Monkey Temple” because of the many monkeys that live there. The local people consider these monkeys sacred and holy. Swayambhunath is one of the oldest and most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage places in Nepal. It is holy for both Buddhists and Hindus. It is believed to have been built more than 2,500 years ago, making it one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world.
  3. Patan:Patan has a long history and is renowned for its historic architecture, traditional arts and crafts, and religious heritage. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an collection of temples, palaces, sculptures, and courtyards. Notable attractions include the Krishna Mandir temple, the Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar), the Patan Museum, and the metal handicrafts of Durbar Square.

Day 03Sightseeing Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur and drive to Nagarkot.

Boudhanath:

Boudhanath Stupa is a spiritual place and also a symbol of peace, harmony, and cultural heritage. Its massive and majestic presence makes it a must-visit for travelers interested in Buddhist culture. The stupa’s huge mandala design makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. After seeing Boudhanath, we will visit a nearby Thanka painting school.

Pashupatinath:

First, we will go around Pashupatinath temple. This temple is very important for Hindus worldwide. It is surrounded by a busy market selling religious items like marigolds, offerings, incense, beads, shells, pictures of deities, colored powders, lingams, and models. After the temple, we will hike to Guheshwori and then proceed to Bhaktapur.

Bhaktapur:

Also known as Bhadgaon or Khwopa, Bhaktapur is an ancient city in Nepal located about 13 kilometers east of Kathmandu. It is famous for its well-preserved medieval architecture, rich culture, and vibrant traditions. Bhaktapur is a UNESCO World Heritage Site called a “living museum” because of its historic buildings, temples, and narrow streets. One interesting place to visit in Bhaktapur is a Nepali paper-making factory.

After having lunch, we drive to Nagarkot hill station. Nagarkot Hill (2195m) is situated 32 km northeast of Kathmandu. Nagarkot is the best viewpoint which offers a wonderful sunrise view over the huge Himalaya range from Dhaulagiri standing in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east. It also offers exceptional views of the Indrawati River valley lying to the east. Especially from November to March, because of clear visibility, you will get to enjoy awe-inspiring views. Nagarkot is very famous for its mountain sunset views. After checking in to the hotel we walk around the Nagarkot hill via pine forest. Late on we will enjoy an enchanting sunset view from the balcony.

Day 04Full day in Nagarkot and drive back to Kathmandu

Nagarkot Hill Luxury Tour offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range, including famous peaks like Mount Everest, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Dorje Lakpa. Nagarkot is renowned for its stunning sunrise and sunset views. On a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of Everest, the world’s highest peak, from the Nagarkot viewpoint. Apart from its natural beauty, Nagarkot is also known for its peaceful and tranquil environment.

The town is surrounded by lush greenery, terraced fields, and charming rural villages, providing a serene escape from bustling city life. Nagarkot is also popular for forest walking we can have a short trek inside the pine forest and enjoy bird watching and drive back to Kathmandu in the evening. Today we will have a farewell dinner in one of the finest restaurants in Kathmandu and share our experience of the Kathmandu and Nagarkot tour. 

Day 05Final departure from Nepal

Approximately 3 hours before departure of your flight, you will be transferred to Kathmandu international airport where we guide you to the check-in hall. From here we hope you had an amazing journey through our country, Nepal. And we hope to see you again.
