Day 01Kathmandu arrival (1400m) – transfer to the hotel:

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, one of the Asian Heritage representatives will receive you at the airport

and will transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or explore on your own.

Day 02Full day Kathmandu sightseeing:

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will start our Kathmandu – Manang Gau – Kathmandu Heli Tour for a whole day sightseeing of the Kathmandu valley’s main attractions. They include the following:

Kathmandu Durbar Square which is a historic and culturally important place in the center of Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital city. Our second place is Swayambhunath also called the Monkey Temple, is a very important religious site in Kathmandu. Our Third place is Bouddhanath which is a spiritual site and a symbol of peace, harmony, and cultural heritage. It is a massive dome-shaped structure that represents enlightenment. Pashupatinath which is our Last Destination for second day. This is Nepal’s most important Hindu temple, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. 

After touring Pashupatinath we will then return back to the hotel and refresh ourselves before heading for a welcome dinner in the evening hosted in your honor by Asian Heritage Trekking.

Day 03Full day sightseeing of Bhaktapur and Patan

Kathmandu – Manang Gau – Kathmandu Heli Tour third day:

Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaon or Khwopa, is an ancient city in Nepal. It is located in the eastern part of the Kathmandu Valley, about 13 kilometers from the capital city of Kathmandu. Patan Durbar Square which is our last destination is the main attraction in the city. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and showcases an impressive collection of temples, palaces, statues, and courtyards.

Day 04Fly to Manang Village

Manang is primarily known for its trekking opportunities. The Annapurna Circuit trek usually starts from Besisahar and takes you through lush valleys, picturesque villages, terraced fields, and high mountain passes, including the famous Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 5,416 meters (17,769 feet). The trek offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, pristine lakes, and diverse flora and fauna.

Manang was not easily accessible even a few years ago. Today, scores of 4 wheel jeeps ply between the 96 kilometer mountainous road between Besisahar and Manang village ferrying hundreds of locals and foreign trekkers heading to destinations such as Tilicho Lake (5200 meters) and Thorong La Pass (5416 meters). The road has further traversed to Khangsar village, gateway to Tilicho Lake. Administratively, Chame is the district headquarters of Manang. There are 13 Village Development Committees (VDC) in the Manang district. They are Khangsar, Manang, Chame, Pisang, Bhraka, Ngawal, Ghyaru, Tal, Nar, Phu, Dharapani, Tanki-Manang, and Bagarchap.

Upon reaching Manang Village, we will take our time to explore the village and thereafter fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 05Return flight back to Kathmandu

The Manang Village Tour comes to an end as we fly back to the domestic terminal at Tribhuvan International Airport. Swirling above the region for one last time, we bid our goodbyes to the beautiful Manang region.  After around 1 hours of return flight, we reach the airport on our regular schedule.

The Manang Village Heli Tour is a short one. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours considering the one-way trip takes only about 1 hour. The overall tour duration also includes the 1 hour’s ground time at Manang village.
