Today we will visit two of the most popular and significant sites- Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Pashupatinath is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. It is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world and is considered the most important pilgrimage site in Nepal. One of the most unique and fascinating aspects of Pashupatinath is the open-air cremation ceremony that takes place on the banks of the Bagmati River. The ceremony is an essential part of Hindu culture, and visitors can witness the entire process from a respectful distance. The ceremony is both solemn and peaceful and offers a rare insight into the spiritual and cultural practices of Nepal.
Then we will visit Boudhanath. Boudhanath, also known as the Boudha Stupa, is one of the largest stupas in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located in the eastern part of Kathmandu and is a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site. The stupa is believed to have been built in the 14th century and is an excellent example of traditional Nepali architecture. The stupa is surrounded by small shops, restaurants, and monasteries, making it a bustling and vibrant area. Visitors can circumambulate the stupa, spinning the prayer wheels and soaking in the serene atmosphere.

In addition to Pashupatinath and Boudhanath, Kathmandu is home to several other cultural sites worth exploring, including the ancient cities of Bhaktapur and Changunarayan.
Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaon, is located about 13 kilometers east of Kathmandu and is one of the three royal cities in the Kathmandu Valley. The city is famous for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including temples, palaces, and courtyards. The city’s most iconic landmark is the Nyatapola Temple, a five-story pagoda temple built in the 18th century. Changunarayan is a small village located about 12 kilometers east of Kathmandu and is home to the oldest Hindu temple in the Kathmandu Valley. Patan and Kathmandu Durbar Square are two other significant cultural sites in Kathmandu that are worth exploring.
Patan, also known as Lalitpur, is located about five kilometers south of Kathmandu and is the third royal city in the Kathmandu Valley. The city is famous for its well-preserved Newari architecture, including intricately carved wooden doors and windows, and metalwork. The city’s most iconic landmark is the Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is home to several ancient temples and palaces. Today, we will board a flight to Lukla that takes approximately 40 minutes which treats you to breathtaking views of hills and snow-capped mountains. Upon landing in Lukla, we will embark on a trek to Monjo, following the main trail that runs along the east bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Our journey will lead us through small settlements, forests, and several suspended bridges, taking around three hours until we arrive at Phakding for lunch. Following another three hours of trekking, we will reach our overnight destination in Monjo.

Today, we will obtain our Sagarmatha National Park permits at Jorsalle before embarking on a 2–3-hour uphill trek to reach Namche Bazaar, the lively Sherpa capital. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel, take some time to refresh ourselves, and then explore the town, soaking up the bustling atmosphere. Later, we will witness the stunning sunset from the National Park Viewpoint.

Following breakfast at our hotel in Namche Bazaar, we will begin our hike to Hotel Everest View, located above Syangboche. Along the way, we will visit the charming Sherpa village of Khumjung, where we can sample local Sherpa cuisine and immerse ourselves in the rich culture and traditions of the area. Upon reaching Hotel Everest View, we will be treated to stunning views of Mt. Everest and the surrounding peaks from every room. The rooms are designed to provide ample space, with en suite bathrooms that include a cozy sitting area and access to beautiful stone-walled balconies.

After savoring a delicious breakfast at Hotel Everest View, we will begin our trek to Tengboche, another enchanting village in this region. Tengboche is renowned for its stunning views of Amadablam, widely considered one of the most beautiful peaks in the world. If you are a photography enthusiast, this will be an excellent spot to capture some breathtaking shots of the horizon. Tengboche also boasts one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in the area, where you can attend daily prayers and immerse yourself in the vibrant Buddhist culture of the region.

Today we will visit Swayambhunath. Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, is a popular and sacred Buddhist site in Kathmandu. The hilltop location offers stunning views of the city and the Himalayan ranges. Visitors can explore the white dome-shaped stupa, surrounding shrines, and statues of Buddha. The temple is also home to resident monkeys, considered sacred protectors. Visitors can climb the stairs to the top, relax, and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Swayambhunath is a must-visit for anyone interested in Buddhism, history, or natural scenery.
After returning back from Swayambhunath, you can explore Thamel- a touristic hub. You can do shopping and buys gifts for your friends and family.
